This is a training contract like no other. As well as legal expertise, you’ll build strong business advisory skills – invaluable in a world where business and legal issues are increasingly intertwined. You’ll be training in a stimulating, multifaceted environment and learning from exceptional people. You’ll quickly gain practical, hands-on experience and lateral thinking skills as part of teams generating creative ways to tackle complex problems. The practice groups you could work in include banking, commercial & regulatory disputes, corporate, cyber security, employment, pensions, nance, IP/IT & Public Sector, real estate, tax disputes. You may also complete a seat in Dubai or on one our many client secondments.
Summer Vacation Scheme
To get a training contract with us, you’ll need to complete our Summer Vacation Scheme. The rotational, three-week scheme runs in June and July where you’ll carry out research, draft legal documents and attend client meetings. Do well and you’ll be offered a training contract with us. We generally recruit two years in advance for trainee solicitors, however, we are flexible. We allow applications from penultimate year (and onwards) law students and final year (and onwards) non-law students.

Salary & Benefits
If we accept you for a legal training contract, you'll get a scholarship award to help with the costs of the Graduate Diploma in Law Course and the Legal Practice Course (if required). If successful, we’ll pay your course and examination fees, and contribute substantially towards your living expenses. We make the payments in three equal instalments.
For the 2018/2019 academic year we’ll pay the following:
- Graduate Diploma of Law (GDL) – £7,000 plus fees
- Legal Practice Course (LPC) – £7,000 plus fees

What you need to get in
- Be studying a Law degree and be in your penultimate or final year of study; or
- Taking a non-law degree and be in your final year of study; or
- Have graduated with any degree background with a 2.1 classification; and
- You'll need to be on course for at least a 2.1 degree in any subject; and
- We'll also expect you to have done plenty of research into your chosen business area and demonstrate a genuine commitment to a legal career path.

- At least a 2:1 or be on target for a 2.1 in any degree discipline
