The AllAboutLaw perspective on Ashfords
As an Ashfords trainee, you'll be given a wealth of responsibility, client access and a variety of challenges right from the very beginning of your legal career. Based in Bristol or the firm's South West offices (Exeter and Plymouth), you'll complete four six-month seats and may even be given the opportunity to complete one of these in London.
The firm has consistently high retention rates and the support you are given by the team around you will allow you to flourish and work towards becoming a future partner of the firm. During your training contract, you'll also be encouraged to get involved with wider initiatives, such as business development and marketing, plus a range of social activities.
What the firm says
Ashfords is a national provider of legal, professional and regulatory services. We combine legal expertise, commercial experience and our wider network to help our clients achieve their goals, providing value for time and value for money. Our commitment to excellence is reflected by the quality of our employees and partners, our client testimonials and industry awards. We are also delighted to have been voted a UK 300 employer by students and graduates in the UK for the sixth year running. We’re proud that our priorities go beyond business; our people-led responsible business programme is committed to making a positive social and environmental impact.
Whilst we recognise that no two clients’ legal issues are the same, we aim always to provide straightforward, timely advice, delivered in clear and simple language. As a full service firm we cover a wide range of practice areas across three divisions: Real Estate, Commercial Services and Private Wealth. We advise clients across a number of industries with a focus on technology, energy and waste, retail and the public sector. We service clients internationally through our ADVOC network of independent law firms, and work on a number of cross border transactions.
