In London, Crowell's innovative and entrepreneurial approach has been important to the firm's growth. Our London team provides a broad range of services to both local and international clients, offering focused and commercial legal advice.
Our Practices
Our capabilities in London include global litigation, financial services, commercial lending, derivatives, energy and infrastructure, competition, dispute resolution and recovery, restructuring and insolvency, M&A, corporate and commercial work, including corporate finance, international trade, international dispute resolution, and arbitration. We represent national and multinational companies and financial institutions clients in the United Kingdom, continental Europe, North and South America, Asia, the Middle East, and North Africa, and are well-placed to assist our clients with issues arising across the globe. Our partners are well-recognised leaders in their fields, and as a trainee, you will get the chance to work with all of them during your training contract.

Academic requirements
- A Level AAB

Academic excellence is important to us; however, we appreciate that some people face particular
challenges during their studies. Whilst we expect applicants to have achieved AAB at A-Level (or equivalent), a 2.1 (Hons) at a well-respected university and to have completed both the GDL (if
applicable) and LPC/SQE 1 and 2 with a merit, if there are good reasons why you haven't achieved these grades then we are happy to take those into account. Our application allows you to disclose these to us.
In addition to your qualifications, we also value those who have achieved in an extra-curricular context and who are well-rounded and interesting. Personality is a definite plus at our firm! Our clients are a diverse group, and truly appreciate the strong relationships that we build with them, so the ability to use a breadth of your own experiences to relate to people you encounter at work is a fundamental skill for success at our firm.
Finally, you must have already completed the LPC/SQE 1 and 2 and be able to join us in January 2024. If you have completed the SQE 1 and 2, please note that, if successful, you will be employed as a Trainee Solicitor at Crowell for two years. After this point, your Qualifying Work Experience as part of the training contract will be confirmed.
