Trainee Solicitor Programme

Goodwin's objective is to see you transition over the two-year period from a talented student to a confident, professional lawyer. You will have the opportunity to rotate in their practice areas: life sciences, private equity, private investment funds, real estate, technology, tax, financial services, antitrust, employment and complex litigation and dispute resolution.

Who Goodwin is looking for:

Goodwin is looking for entrepreneurial, aspirational and driven candidates.

The firm welcomes applications from candidates at all universities in all degree disciplines.

To be eligible to apply, you will need to be in the penultimate year of your law degree, final year of your non-law degree, or have already graduated.

Vacation Scheme

Goodwin run both a Spring and a Summer Vacation Scheme, which provide real insight into what it is like to train and work at Goodwin while giving you the opportunity to get to know the Firm better. You will witness first-hand the work Goodwin do for their clients by shadowing partners and associates, attending meetings, and getting involved in real work for departments.

You will leave the programme with valuable mentors and a large professional and social network. All vacation scheme participants are automatically considered for a place on the Trainee Solicitor Programme. The Vacation Scheme route is the primary recruitment route for Goodwin’s Trainee Solicitor Programme.

• Summer: 22 June – 3 July 2026 (2 weeks)
