Shoosmiths Application Process
Become familiar with the Shoosmiths application process before you submit your application.
The first step of the application is to complete an application form, which will ask you about your academic record, any jobs or work experience you’ve completed and some competency questions. Shoosmiths recruit on a rolling basis, so it’s vital that you get your application in as soon as possible. The firm does not carry out any psychometric testing.
If you are successful, you will complete an online video interview. If you’re applying for a vacation scheme, you’ll be notified if you’re successful after the interview, but training contract applicants will have to attend an assessment day.
The assessment day involves a group exercise, a written exercise, an interview and a five minute presentation. There are also opportunities to network with current lawyers at the firm. Interviews are CV blind, so whoever interviews you won’t know anything about you apart from your name.
