Baker McKenzie Application Process
From the application form to the assessment centre, here you will gain a valuable insight into the Baker McKenzie application process.
Stage one
The first step of the application process is to complete an online application form. This asks for your academic record, extra-curricular activities, any work experience and questions about your interest in the firm.
Stage two
Should your application meet our criteria, you will be sent an invite to complete an online test. This assessment will consist of a number of situational judgement questions, along with some applied verbal intellect items. This assessment has been designed to look for grit and determination, a willingness to embrace our digital reality and the ability to apply your creativity and knowledge to solve any problem.
Stage three
If you are successful following the online test, you will be invited to a video interview, to respond to pre-recorded questions. This interview is competency based and will assess your knowledge and understanding of the firm.
Stage four
If you reach the next stage, you will attend an assessment centre. The format of our Assessment Centres are:
- Document Review Exercise
- Associate Interview
- Group Exercise
- Case Study Interview with Partner and a Recruitment representative.
None of the tasks will require any specific legal knowledge and focus on more transferable skills such as critical thinking, problem solving, attention to detail and commercial awareness.
