Trainees at Goodwin Procter grow over two-years from skilled law students to qualified lawyers. During your training contract, you’ll get the chance to work in the firm’s key practice areas: life sciences, private equity, private investment funds, real estate, tax, technology and complex litigation and dispute resolution. This ensures you receive plenty of exposure to the firm, but also meet the requirements set out by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA).
It may also be necessary for you to attend an external course, to satisfy the SRA’s contentious requirement.
Goodwin Procter’s vacation scheme will help you gain the skills required for a successful legal career. The firm’s vacation scheme provides candidates with a chance to learn what life is like there, and also provides them with the opportunity to get to know you better.
During the scheme, you’ll get the chance to attend client meetings, shadow partners and associates, and even participate in negotiations. By the end of the programme, you’ll have broadened your professional and social network, and gained valuable mentors.
