How to prepare for the Virtual Law Fair

Familiarise yourself with the platform

Once you've registered for an event, AllAboutLaw will email you detailed instructions the day before and explain how you can join the event via our Virtual Law Fair platform. Please make sure you read this thoroughly before attending. Please make sure to check your spam folder too if you have not received an email. It's also worth logging in and making sure you know how to access your 'My Agenda' page and how you can click the 'Join Session' button at the time of an event to join the presentation or panel discussion via Zoom. 

Research the law firms who are exhibiting

Use our law firm hubs to research the law firms that are attending the Virtual Law Fair. You will have to use your time efficiently during the Virtual Law Fair to engage with the firms that you would most like to secure a training contract with.

Think about how your academic achievements line up with firms’ requirements, where in the country you would like to work, and how much you expect to be paid as a trainee solicitor.

Register for talks & workshops in advance

There is a wealth of content at the Virtual Law Fair each year. Make sure you take time to check out the agenda for each day and register for the talks and workshops that interest you the most in advance. You can simply click the 'Reserve My Spot' button to make sure you don't miss out.
