The Winter Vacation Scheme at Burges Salmon gives aspiring lawyers the chance to experience life at an award winning law firm and gain insight into what makes the firm unique. Open to applicants from any degree background or career stage, the scheme offers hands on exposure to high quality legal work, sector expertise and a collaborative culture.

Over the course of the week, participants will work alongside lawyers on live matters, attend client meetings and skills sessions, and learn how different teams work together to support clients across sectors such as energy, financial services, infrastructure, transport and technology. The scheme also provides opportunities to build networks across the firm through social and sporting activities.

Successful candidates may be invited to interview for a Training Contract commencing in September 2029. The scheme takes place in Bristol from 30 November to 4 December 2026, with applications closing on 26 October 2026. Candidates who reach the final stage will receive £450 towards expenses to support attendance.
