Bristol Spring/Summer Vacation Scheme 2027

Our Spring and Summer Vacation Schemes give students, graduates and career changers the opportunity to experience life at Burges Salmon through two weeks of hands on work in our Bristol office. You'll work alongside lawyers on live matters, gain insight into sectors such as energy, infrastructure, financial services and technology, and see first hand how we support some of the UK's leading organisations.

The scheme offers a mix of practical work experience, client exposure, skills development and networking opportunities. Participants attend client meetings and team briefings, take part in development sessions, and build connections across the firm through social events, while experiencing our collaborative and supportive culture.

The vacation scheme is also a key route into a training contract. Successful candidates may be invited to a training contract interview, with the opportunity to secure a place on our September 2029 trainee solicitor programme. Applications close on 5 January 2027, with assessment centres taking place in Bristol in February 2027.
