Infrastructure is at the heart of the UK's economic growth and net zero ambitions, creating exciting opportunities for lawyers working across major projects. In this session, Katherine Doran, Partner in TLT's Projects, Infrastructure & Construction team, will provide an introduction to the infrastructure sector at TLT and the role lawyers play in bringing complex projects to life.
Drawing on her experience advising clients across the sector, Katherine will explore the types of infrastructure projects shaping the UK economy, the legal and commercial considerations involved, and the wide range of stakeholders that lawyers work alongside. Attendees will gain insight into how infrastructure law intersects with areas such as construction, energy, transport, development and sustainability.
The session will also provide an overview of Katherine's career journey, what a typical day in infrastructure law can look like, and the skills students can start developing now to build a successful career in this growing sector. There will be an opportunity for attendees to ask questions and learn more about the work of TLT's Projects, Infrastructure & Construction team.
