Ten law firms have been included on Stonewall’s list of gay-friendly employers. Three firms were named in the top 10.
Baker & McKenzie ranked 6th, with Freshfields and Pinsent Masons coming in joint 9th place. Herbert Smith Freehills (22nd), CMS Cameron McKenna (40th), Hogan Lovells (48th), Cleary Gottlieb (72nd) and Norton Rose Fulbright (75th), also featured.
Harry Small, head of LGBT and diversity, Baker & McKenzie said, “We’re very proud. We’ve done a great deal of work over the last few years. It’s all about people being themselves and having space to be themselves. People who can be who they are, are happier.”
Pinsent Masons diversity steering group chair David Isaac said, “Firms now need to work hard to ensure that we make similar progress with other under-represented groups.”
