Training contract

Pinsent Masons are proud to offer a comprehensive 2-year programme for trainee lawyers. This programme allows you to gain invaluable experience across various practice areas while developing the essential knowledge and skills needed to thrive in the legal profession. Our training contract is meticulously crafted to lay a strong foundation for your future career, featuring mentorship, training, and ongoing support to help you achieve your fullest potential.

3 A-Levels

Minimum ABB at A-Level (or an equivalent qualification amounting to 128 UCAS points), achieved within one examination period and without resits.

2.1 degree or above

2.1 degree or above already gained or predicted to achieve.

Additionally, you must intend to apply to the Institute of Professional Legal Studies (IPLS) for the year you will be starting your training contract, or you will have completed your SQE by the time your training contract would be due to start.

You must also meet one of the following:

- You have reached the final year of a qualifying law degree, and seeking a training contract starting September 2027

- You are currently enrolled on a Law Conversion Course, and seeking a training contract starting September 2027

- You have already graduated with a qualifying law degree, and seeking a training contract starting September 2027

If you don’t meet the above minimum academic criteria but you have mitigating circumstances, there’s an opportunity for you to include this information in your registration form.
