About the role:
At Horwich Farrelly we do things differently. We recognise the value of our employees and understand that they set us apart from our competitors. So, if you want to experience what life is like as a lawyer at Horwich Farrelly, join us on our Easter or Summer Vacation Scheme in 2020.
Horwich Farrelly’s Vacation Scheme gives you the opportunity to spend two weeks in our Manchester office, within our acclaimed Credit Hire Department or our award winning Fraud Department. You will be assigned your own training buddy who will offer you support and guidance. They will also be able to offer a genuine insight into the Horwich Farrelly Training Contract.
We will provide you with a blend of work based activities such as a mock trial, comprehensive case management training and presentations from our Partners. We want you to understand how we work to defend cases for our clients so you will be provided with invaluable exposure as to how the Departments operate day to day. You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced lawyers and gain an insight into what it is actually like to be a Trainee Solicitor.
It isn’t all work and no play though! We will provide you with professional development sessions, social activities and an after work dinner. Horwich Farrelly aims to recruit a high percentage of the schemes participants, so this is a real chance for you to shine and set up a successful career in law. It is also worth noting that our training contracts are only available to Horwich Farrelly employees and, after 6 months with us, you will be eligible to apply with no external competition.
Applications for both vacation schemes close on Sunday 19th January 2020. The dates of our vacation scheme are as follows:
Easter: Monday 6th April – Friday 17th April 2020 [Exc Bank Holidays]
Summer: Monday 22nd June – Friday 3rd July 2020.
The outcome of your application will be communicated to you by Friday 24th January 2020. Should you be shortlisted at this stage you will be invited to attend an Assessment Centre which will take place the week commencing 10th February 2019.
