We are a market-leading international law firm with a reputation for advising clients in sectors including aviation, commodities, energy, mining, insurance and shipping and transport. We offer our trainees a genuinely global training contract with all trainees having the opportunity to spend at least six months of their training working abroad.
Our vacation schemes are a key part of our recruitment process, and all vacation scheme participants attend a final round interview for a training contract as part of the vacation scheme. Vacation schemes enable you to gain hands-on experience of our work and our sectors, working on live work with our fee-earners. You will also attend a programme of talks and presentations on HFW and what we do, as well as social events and networking opportunities.
We run four vacation schemes each year – a one week spring vacation scheme and three summer schemes. Applications for vacations schemes open on 1 October and close on 31 January. The recruitment process consists of the online application, followed by the assessment centre. We fill our vacation schemes on a rolling basis.

Requirements & Application
To apply for a place on a vacation scheme you must be in at least your penultimate year of a law degree or your final year of a non-law degree. We accept applications from graduates, post graduates and individuals looking to change careers.
Our entry requirements are 340 UCAS points (or equivalent) and a 2.1 degree – obtained or predicted.
