BPE Solicitors is a UK law firm. With more than 130 staff including 70 fee-earners, BPE has its headquarters in Cheltenham with other offices in South Gloucestershire and London, as well as access points in Cirencester, Bristol and Oxford.

Training Contract

Each team provides an exciting and stimulating training environment. You could find yourself getting involved in conference calls, networking at a seminar, attending an employment tribunal or helping to research a target client. We guarantee your training will be wide ranging, intensive and well balanced.

We adopt a flexible approach to your training. If you suspect commercial property may be your eventual specialisation or you have a passion for corporate work we will try to accommodate you.

You will be encouraged to meet clients and take on your own caseload and you will be given the opportunity to enjoy a 'hands on' approach from a very early stage.

The ethos of the firm is 'work hard, play hard' and we make the most of any opportunity to get together and have fun. From regular Friday get togethers at a local bar, to firm-wide summer and Christmas parties and an away day for each team, there will be plenty of opportunities to get to know your colleagues outside work.

The firm takes its corporate social responsibility seriously and you will be encouraged to get involved in fundraising for our nominated charity of the year and supported if you wish to undertake a voluntary role in the community. In previous years the partners gave their blessing to five of our trainees trekking across the Atlas mountains in Morocco to raise money for the National Star College.

Each trainee will spend 6 months in four seats across the firm. We offer Corporate and Commercial seats along with a Private Client seat option, covering both contentious and non-contentious disciplines, giving you the chance to find out which area of law suits you best.

Starting salary: £26,000

You will need a minimum 2.1 degree with strong A levels and relevant work experience.
