Blake Morgan is a national law firm with offices in Wales, the Thames Valley, London, and the south coast. The firm works with a diverse client base, which provides trainee solicitors with exposure to a number of areas of law whilst being mentored by legal experts.
The training contract at Blake Morgan is split into six-month placements in a variety of business groups, allowing trainees to gain experience in a range of commercial specialisms whilst providing legal solutions to clients’ business challenges. Trainees also have the opportunity to undertake a client secondment.
Each placement has a mid-seat and end-of-seat review, with support and guidance from the firm’s partners throughout.
The training contract application process for Blake Morgan has four stages. The first stage invites candidates to submit an online application form. The firm look for evidence of research into and awareness of Blake Morgan, and the markets they operate in. They also want to know your personal achievements and why you and the firm are a great match.
The second stage is to attend a telephone interview. If successful, candidates will then attend a regional interview panel, where you will be asked to consider a legal scenario and also answer questions based on the information you provided in your application form. A trainee solicitor at Blake Morgan will also provide you with a tour of the office. Blake Morgan will then let you know as soon as possible if they will be making you an offer.
