Gateley Application Process
Before you apply to Gateley, make sure you understand their application and assessment process.
Gateley recruits its trainees from the firm’s summer vacation placements, as it allows both you and them to get to know each other over a long period of time. The first step is to complete the online application form. Applications are not reviewed on a rolling basis, so you should not be worried if you don’t hear back immediately. You are advised to apply for the placement in the same office where you’d like to start your training contract, as it offers you the chance to understand the office
Candidates will then be invited to complete an online interactive assessment. Shortlisted candidates will then attend an assessment centre, which provides you with the chance to meet some trainees and receive a tour of the office. If you are successful, you’ll attend a Summer Vacation Placement. These normally take place in June and July. There will also be a few assessments during the placement, but you’ll be told more about them well in advance.
Within two weeks of the end of the placement, you’ll be notified if you have received an offer of a training contract. Unsuccessful candidates will receive personalised feedback, to support you with your future applications at Gateley or elsewhere.
