Law Firm Walker Morris has confirmed that it will send all its future trainees exclusively to BPP Law School in Leeds to study for their Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) and/or Legal Practice Course (LPC).
Walker Morris joins 31 other law firms that already send their future trainees to complete their mandatory legal studies and vocational courses with the provider. BPP law School is renowned for the commercial and client-focused approach in their GDL and LPC courses.
Nick Cannon, Partner at Walker Morris said: “We are excited about the future relationship with BPP, the education which our trainees will receive and the integration with our firm’s own training programmes. In addition to the exclusive arrangement with BPP we are pleased to announce that from 2014 we will be awarding three travel bursaries worth £1000 each to future trainees. To apply for one of the bursaries, the successful applicant will have demonstrated a desire to undertake charitable work and or develop their commercial skills either in the UK or abroad”.
Peter Crisp, Dean of BPP Law School, stated : “Sending all Walker Morris future trainees to study both the GDL and LPC at BPP will provide them with a consistent educational experience and ensure integration between what is covered on the GDL, the LPC and the firm’s internal training programmes. We anticipate that the vast majority of Walker Morris future trainees will study at our Leeds Centre although they will be welcome at any one of our centres in London, Manchester, Birmingham, Liverpool, Cambridge or Bristol.”
