Anyone who is interested in a career in commercial law will no doubt have spent time researching lots of different firms. This will include reading lots of websites and graduate recruitment brochures, as well as attending law fairs and campus events. It's fair to say that, on the face of it, many firms look the same so how do you decide which is the firm for you?
The Pinsent Masons Vacation Placement programme is designed to provide you with a valuable insight into the work and culture of the firm. It is the best way for you to get to know us, and us to get you.
On our placement, you will get the opportunity to work closely with a trainee buddy who will be on hand to answer any questions you may have, before and during the placement. You will also be assigned to an experienced supervisor, normally an Associate or Senior Associate, who will work closely with you throughout your placement, to ensure that you are participating in a wide range of matters. They'll provide you with feedback on your learning and development throughout your placement to make sure you are really benefitting from your experiences.
Although you will be placed in one department for your placement, our practice presentations ensure that you learn about all the teams across the firm, the work they do and how our trainee solicitors fit into it all.
There will also be a social event or two, which present a great opportunity for you to meet colleagues from across the firm who will be very happy to share their knowledge and experiences with you.
You'll learn all about our values and how we those values are reflected in the every day work of Pinsent Masons. You will also hear from our Responsible Business team and may get the chance to participate in one of our responsible business initiatives. There is so much more to find out. If you want to 'Take the law into your own hands', a vacation placement is a great place to start.
