  • 03rd November 2010
  • A major New York law firm, Sullivan & Cromwell, is to launch its first ever graduate training scheme in London – creating up to six trainee solicitor positions each year.

  • The first trainees are expected to start in 2013 - and the firm expects to be paying them £50,000 in their first year.  It is understood newly qualified solicitors at the firm earn £97,500 plus bonus.

The firm has also indicated it will start a summer vacation scheme next year for the first time.  Benjamin Perry, Partner at Sullivan & Cromwell commented that, "it is a real demonstration of our commitment to London and we are looking for graduates seeking a long-term career with the firm."

Sullivan & Cromwell employs around 800 lawyers spread across 12 offices internationally.  For further information and to apply to the firm, visit http://www.sullcrom.com/files/upload/Trainee_Solicitors_Recruitment.pdf
