Trainees Minimum Salary looks to remain the same
- 22nd June 2011
The minimum salary for trainee solicitors is set to remain the same for the third year in a row.
The Solicitors Regulatory Authority (SRA) is expected to keep the minimum salary for trainees the same for the third year in a row.
The current minimum is £16,650 for those training outside of London and £18,590 for those who are working in London. Jack Denton, co-founder of AllAboutLaw said, "it would be good to see an increase this year, especially when we consider inflation is now running at over 4% - it essentially means there has been a reduction in the minimum as the cost of living increases".
It remains to be seen whether there will be an increase this year.
