  • The College of Law opens up its fast-track LPC

  • 01st June 2011
  • Once a preserve of only those who had gained sponsorship at a select few top city law firms, the accelerated Legal Practice Course is set to be offered to all who meet the SRA’s eligibility criteria.

  • The accelerated LPC first emerged at BPP in 2009 when they convened a course specifically designed for future trainees at Herbert Smith, Hogan Lovells, Slaughter & May, Freshfields and Norton Rose. The College of Law followed shortly after with their own firm partnerships, however as BPP did also not too long ago, the college of law will now be offering the seven month format to all.

As the accelerated version gathers pace though, it also begs the question of what will happen to the longer version. There is no difference in fees (because both courses provide the same contact hours) so it appears for those looking to do the LPC, it’s either an ‘intense’ or ‘very intense’ choice.
