Rape Victim Jails Dad after Studying Law

A law graduate from the University of Essex had her step-father imprisoned for rape and other sexual assaults 14 years after the incidents occurred as a result of her degree course.
During her final year Tina Renton was studying criminal evidence and realised that she could still take the case to court even years after the incidenct had occured. David Moore has been jailed for 14 years for indecent assault, three counts of gross indecency and three counts of rape.
Tina Renton said, "'I'm so pleased I went through with it and urge other children who are being abused to stand up for themselves. There is justice out there and you should fight to get it, whether that's at the time it is happening or 20 years later, as happened to me. It's never too late. I'm so pleased everyone knows the truth about him now. He robbed me of my childhood but justice has finally be done and I can move on with my life."
