New Paralegal Studies Degree

It’s a Welsh first: a brand new degree in paralegal studies from the University of Glamorgan.
The university will be starting the paralegal foundation degree in September 2012. It was designed in conjunction with CILEx and Skills for Justice and aims to address the legal sectors need for skilled and qualified paralegals. Students taking the foundation degree will also have the chance to top up the degree into a full honours degree in law.
Richard Owen, Deputy Head of the School of Law, Accounting and Finance, said, “The Foundation Degree in Paralegal Studies has been designed to provide students with a flexible, work-related learning experience that will equip them with the necessary skills to succeed in the legal sector.”
