  • New apprenticeship scheme kicks off at Gordons

  • 21st September 2011
  • The Yorkshire-based law firm Gordons has just taken entry of its first apprentices that will be taking part in a scheme that will see them pursue a career in law without completing a degree.

  • Gordons has taken five 18 year olds as part of a diversity initiative to provide them with the opportunity to qualify as legal executives. This move follows several other firms who have recently opened their doors to ‘legal apprenticeships’.

Many other firms are also planning to follow suit in response to continuing concerns over the costs of becoming a lawyer and the issues it poses for people from less fortunate financial backgrounds.
