- 21st September 2011
Kawsar Zaman has become one of a select few non-parliamentarians to have debated in the House of Lords following an event held on September 9th.
The theme focused on reducing carbon emissions, with the 21-year-old LSE law student representing Bangladesh as part of the Commonwealth Youth Parliament. Kawsar was also involved in the UpRising Programme, an initiative aimed at helping young people from diverse backgrounds become public leaders.
He will also be representing Tower Hamlets at the upcoming Labour party conference in Liverpool this month.
