Linklaters offers social network platforms for aspiring trainees

Magic circle firm Linklaters has launched itself onto Facebook and Twitter to provide future trainee solicitors a virtual networking platform and access to the firm’s news as part of its graduate recruitment campaign.
The firm is also posting videos including trainee profiles and promotional material on YouTube.
The firm’s graduate recruitment partner, Euan Clarke, told Lawyer 2B: “We’ve always been frank and open about what people can expect at Linklaters so that candidates can make a sensible and informed decision before applying to us. Providing that information via media such as Facebook and Twitter is just another way to find and attract the very best candidates.”
He adds: “In the time when I was applying for training contracts all you had was a brochure. It’s just a natural progression to start using other media.”
