Leading firms committed to diversity, says Law Soc

In its first annual report on its flagship Diversity and Inclusion Charter, the Law Society says leading legal practices are actively committed to diversity within the legal profession.
More than 160 legal practices have signed up to the Charter which is a public declaration to develop and implement best practice on equality, diversity and inclusion.
Law Society President Linda Lee said: “The 82 legal practices participating in the first annual report have significant influence within the profession, covering more than one in four solicitors working in private practice. These results reveal strong performance in the area of workforce engagement through equality and diversity committees, staff surveys and regular consultation.”
