Law student online casino ‘hacker’ given suspended prison sentence

Zachery Woodham and Louis Tobenhouse were arrested last year after the Metropolitan Police Service’s Police Central e-crime Unit (PCeU) found incriminating evidence linking the two students to various crimes. Both teenagers were involved in a cyber-crime forum known as ‘GhostMarket’ and have been involved in a variety of criminal activities.
They had been hacking into various betting company websites, online casinos and web hosting firms, stealing thousands of credit card details and using the acquired information to gather a substantial amount of money.
Woodham, a law student at the University of Sussex, received 360 hours of community service and an 18 month suspended prison sentence. Tobenhouse received 400 hours of community service.
