- 20th June 2012
What is it about law students and getting on the wrong side of the law?
Second year University of Staffordshire law student Faysel Abedin has been convicted of taking part in a scam to steal mobile phones. He was involved in a scheme in which the details of a phone company's customers were stolen and used to falsely obtain new Apple iPhones. He admitted two charges of concealing criminal property, receiving a 12-month community order. He will also have to do 190 of unpaid work and can kiss goodbye to a legal career. Tut tut.
