  • 20th June 2012
  • What is it about law students and getting on the wrong side of the law?

  • Second year University of Staffordshire law student Faysel Abedin has been convicted of taking part in a scam to steal mobile phones. He was involved in a scheme in which the details of a phone company's customers were stolen and used to falsely obtain new Apple iPhones. He admitted two charges of concealing criminal property, receiving a 12-month community order. He will also have to do 190 of unpaid work and can kiss goodbye to a legal career. Tut tut.
