Law Student Crumbles on Countdown

Mark Deeks a 27 year old law student at the University of Hertfordshire crashed out of the Countdown semi-finals after being odds on favourite.
Mark had previously smashed his opponents in previous rounds, beating one opponent by a whopping 116-21. In the semi-final Mark lost by 81 points to his opponents 95 and put his loss down to a lack of sleep on the night before the final.
Although, Mark didn't make it to the final of Countdown he's set to be back on our screens in the University Challenge for Hertfordshire who managed to reach the quarter-finals in 2005.
