Law student crowned Miss England 2010
- 03rd September 2010
A Nottingham law student has been crowned Miss England, beating off nearly 60 other contestants and is now heading for the Miss World competition in China next month.
Jessica Linley, 21, who wants to qualify as a solicitor, won the Miss England beauty pageant at Birmingham’s Hilton hotel this week. Jessica is 5ft 11 and came third in the competition two years ago and has been modelling for two years.
She is also treasurer of the Nottingham University law society and has said that if she won, she would take some time off studying to put all her efforts into the Miss World contest, which will include competition from Miss Jamaica, a Harvard Law graduate.
Jessica is reported to have said she wants to “truly make a difference to peoples' lives”. Whether this is a reference to her winning looks or her legal career aspirations is not clear.
