Latest CoL/law firm partnerships
- 27th January 2010
The start of 2010 sees yet more large law firms joining forces with legal education providers. Bristol-based Beachcrofts has signed a deal with the College of Law (CoL) to be its sole provider of the GDL and LPC for its trainees from September this year.
It follows the CoL’s recent signing of Bristol to its Pathways to Law diversity programme.
The CoL has recently named the town’s Temple Quarter as the site for its latest branch - just minutes from Queen Square where BPP is planning to launch a Bristol arm. The CoL, which now has a tally of 21 exclusive relationships with firms, hopes to attract 190 LPC and GDL students in Bristol this year. BPP is not far behind with 19 similar tie-ups.
Meanwhile, international commercial firm Ince & Co has formed a similar arrangement with Kaplan Law School – the 10th in its tally – to provide the LPC and GDL to its London trainees from September this year.
