Judges Wrestles Defendant

It was reported in the Guardian this week that 60 year old judge Douglas Marks Moore tackled a sex offender, Paul Reid, to the ground at Woolwich crown court.
It turns out this isn't the first time Paul Reid has tried to escape and reportedly escaped during another trial in 2008. Paul Reid tried to escape through the judges corridor just as the jury were leaving the court room.
The Prosecutor Rupert Gregory said that only, "One thing stood between Paul Reid and freedom - the judge trying his case," and in the ensuing escape bid Paul was tackled to the ground and held until prison officers arrived.
The outcome of the trial is yet to be decided.
