Good news for graduate positions

The latest report by High Fliers into the UK top employers suggests there will be around a 6.4% increase in the number of graduate positions in 2012.
Nine out of fourteen key industries look like they will recruit more graduates this year, though firms are reporting a 19% increase in the number of applications they received compared to this time last year so it is important to make sure you really stands out.
Interestingly, around half of training contracts will be awarded to those who have completed work experience at that firm and three quarters of the positions in investment banking will go to those who have undertaken work experience with that firm.
