Freshfields expands international work on vac schemes
- 12th January 2011
Summer vacation scheme students at major firm Freshfields will have greater opportunities for international legal experience with the firm expanding its international element.
Candidates offered places on the three-week vacation placement at the London office will now be able to apply to spend an additional week in the firm’s offices across the globe including New York, Madrid, Hong Kong and its European offices such as Brussels and Amsterdam. Candidates may also have the chance to choose Washington and Madrid in the future.
Trainee recruitment partner Simon Johnson says: “Vacation schemes provide a valuable insight into what life at an international law firm is really like. We added an international element to our scheme to ensure students do enough, hear enough and meet enough of us to form an opinion about whether they really want a career in law and a career at an international firm such as Freshfields.”
The firm is offering three separate vacation schemes each lasting three weeks, from 20 June - 8 July; 11 - 29 July, and 1 - 19 August. Candidates have until the end of this week (January 15th) to apply for a place.
