  • CMS Cameron offers NQ contracts

  • 14th April 2010
  • City firm CMS Cameron McKenna has offered two of its trainees temporary contracts instead of permanent positions on qualification.

  • One of the contracts is to last one year, the other just six months on secondment.

Twenty nine trainees qualified in March this year with 79% kept on but with two under temporary contracts.

The firm’s unusual move reflects the current economic climate but was not reflective of the firm’s general recruitment policy. A spokesperson for the firm said this is not a new firm policy but a one off incident which is a direct result of listening and responding to client needs.
