CMS Cameron offers NQ contracts
- 14th April 2010
City firm CMS Cameron McKenna has offered two of its trainees temporary contracts instead of permanent positions on qualification.
One of the contracts is to last one year, the other just six months on secondment.
Twenty nine trainees qualified in March this year with 79% kept on but with two under temporary contracts.
The firm’s unusual move reflects the current economic climate but was not reflective of the firm’s general recruitment policy. A spokesperson for the firm said this is not a new firm policy but a one off incident which is a direct result of listening and responding to client needs.
