Call for evidence by fees and finance panel
- 09th December 2009
The panel charged with reviewing fees and university funding has made its first call for evidence. The Independent Review of Higher Education Funding and Student Finance is a seven-strong panel which includes two university vice-chancellors.
The panel will be looking in particular at the impact of the introduction of variable tuition fees in 2006 and the accompanying student finance changes. It will also consider participation rates, the quality of the higher education system and its affordability.
The panel’s chair has already met with student representatives to discuss the issues concerned. The call for evidence closes on 31st January and evidence can be submitted online at http://hereview.independent.gov.uk/hereview/call-for-evidence
