  • BPP launches fast track LPC

  • 12th January 2011
  • Law school, BPP, is to launch its first ever fast track LPC for law students who have not yet secured training contracts this year.

  • The course will allow students to complete the LPC in seven months to help save living costs and start work earlier.  However, the course fee will remain the same.

The fast track LPC covers the same curriculum as the nine month LPC with students having an additional two hours of face to face teaching and three extra hours of preparation work per week to fit the work in.  The fast track LPC will begin in August 2011 with students taking their final elective exams in February 2012.

Peter Crisp, Chief Executive BPP Law School, said: “Offering 7-month LPC programmes only to trainees can be seen as unfair and elitist – especially as the potential saving on living costs are particularly beneficial to self-funded students. At BPP we feel it is important to give all students who are capable of handling the workload a chance to choose between the fast-track or full length LPC, irrespective of whether they have secured a training contract or not.”
