BPP apologises for over recruitment
The BPP law school has apologised to the Bar Standards Board (BSB) for its ‘inadvertent over-recruitment’ of students on its Bar Vocational Course. The results of the BSB’s investigation have just been published including with the BPP’s formal response.
Birmingham law firm challenges University of Birmingham injunction

Students that began protesting in an abandoned university building last November against increased tuition fees are being represented by Public Interest Lawyers.
The university obtained a high court injunction that prevents protests being staged by students involving occupation. The firm believes however that the court order may criminalise any protests that involve individuals remaining in a location for any length of time.

Currently, any student that breaches the ban could face a fine or potentially even imprisonment.

Law school fees continue to rise	24th January 2012
The Bar Professional Training Course at the College of Law has had an increase of £800 for students planning to undertake the course in September 2012. Students will now pay £16,140 if they wish to take the BPTC at CoL, in comparison to the £16,540 charged by BPP or £15,800 by Kaplan Law School.
