Boys are going to turn their back on education

According to a new report by the Centre for the Economics of Education, if fees are set at £9000 a year there will be reduction in the number of students attending university (we thought that'd be pretty obvious!).
The report suggests that at £9000 per year, the number of boys attending University will drop by more than 7.5% whilst for girls it will be almost 5%. Why more boys than girls we wonder?
