Bill of Rights essay competition - with 750-worth prizes

A new Law Society essay competition is now open to law students, trainee solicitors and barristers, and junior lawyers on social housing and security law – with a first prize of £500 up for the winner.
The annual Graham Turnbull essay competition aims to encourage awareness and knowledge of international human rights issues and remedies among young lawyers.
The essay title is: “Does everyone in the UK have access to adequate housing, health care, social security and employment? If not, would a bill of rights help?" Essays entered must be no more than 2,000 words and must be supported by the writer’s proof of eligibility.
The deadline for entries is Friday 25 February 2011 and the winning entries will be announced at the Law Society in late April. The runner-up will receive book tokens worth £250 and both essays will be published.
