  • Big freeze disrupts exams

  • 11th January 2010
  • As the snow and ice leads to many candidates unable to take GCSE and A-level exams schedules over the next two weeks, many aspiring lawyers are also having their exams delayed.

  • Both the College of Law (CoL) and the BPP Law School have delayed some of their scheduled exams - to the delight of many students, giving them the excuse to enjoy the snow, and more time to revise. And the CoL closed has five of its centres including Chester and Guildford.

BPP delayed the start of its LPC exam by two hours so that students and staff could reach the exam centre in London Docklands.  While candidates who could make it in through the snow and ice were allowed to take the exam, BPP has automatically deferred some exams until the Spring.

But despite the short term snow fun that will be enjoyed by many, some law students will see this as an added pressure they could do without.
