Big Drop in LPC students
- 13th July 2011
This week The Lawyer has reported that the number of people taking the LPC has dropped drastically according to statistics leaked by CAB (Central Application Board).
Most institutions have seen a drops over more than 10%, with some institutions fairly much worse. The biggest losers have been Huddersfield and Leeds met with drop of 68% and 62% respectively.
Though having said that some institutions have seen increased with Plymouth having almost one third more enrolments.
The overall drop is 15% on last year, but on the bright side with fewer people enrolling the chances of getting a training contract are likely to increase especially when we consider the 14.6% increase in graduate places for 2010-11 in the legal sector (according to the AGR).
