  • Big Drop in LPC students

  • 13th July 2011
  • This week The Lawyer has reported that the number of people taking the LPC has dropped drastically according to statistics leaked by CAB (Central Application Board).

  • Most institutions have seen a drops over more than 10%, with some institutions fairly much worse. The biggest losers have been Huddersfield and Leeds met with drop of 68% and 62% respectively.

Though having said that some institutions have seen increased with Plymouth having almost one third more enrolments.

The overall drop is 15% on last year, but on the bright side with fewer people enrolling the chances of getting a training contract are likely to increase especially when we consider the 14.6% increase in graduate places for 2010-11 in the legal sector (according to the AGR).
