A&O Twitter success

Magic circle firm Allen & Overy’s Twitter page is the most successful in the legal sector with a rating of 99, according to a recent survey.
City firms DLA Piper and Eversheds weren’t far behind, with ratings of 98 and 97 respectively.
In the Intendance survey, firms were rated according to how many Twitter followers they had, the number of their updates, the ratio of followers to following and the number of retweets of their posts. Other firms making it in the survey’s top 10 rankings included Withers, Clifford Chance, Shoosmiths, Olswang and Taylor Wessing.
A&O’s website manager Christian Walsh told The Lawyer: “This is nice recognition of our efforts over the past two years and our intent is to continue to embed social media into A&O’s communications. Twitter helps us shape the debate around key issues, and also to listen to the feedback and respond to it.”
