  • Annual memorial prize for CoL family law student

  • 20th October 2010
  • A London family law firm has awarded its first annual Peter Clark prize to a former College of Law (CoL) student who excelled in family law.

  • Dawson Cornwell launched the annual prize this year which includes a cash sum of £2,000 to be awarded annually to the best family law student at the College of Law (CoL) in London. The winning student, Rebecca Hawley will also be given a two-week internship at Dawson Cornwell as part of her prize.

The prize has been set up in honour of Peter Clark, a partner at Dawson Cornwell from 1993 until his death in April this year.  He was the driving force behind Sweet & Maxwell’s Practical Matrimonial Precedents.  The prize is awarded to the student with the highest mark in family law on the Legal Practice Course from The College of Law's London centre.

The prize is funded by Dawson Cornwell and Peter’s family and friends.
