A Level students Under Pressure…
- 04th May 2011
More than two thirds, 67%, of respondents in the research by Myvouchercodes.co.uk said that they felt that they ‘couldn’t afford university due to the planned rises in tuition fees’ and furthermore, just less than a quarter, 22%, of the respondents who were planning on going to university said that they were going to do so because they felt ‘pressured’ to do so by family members or other people they knew.
A spokesman for AllAboutCareers.com said, "this is an interesting study, but it remains to be seen how the rise in fees will affect the number of students going to university. Although, students should remember there are lots of other options instead of university, but ultimately students should bear in mind that on average graduates earn more than non graduates."
