Marathon proposal

The London Marathon invariably provides much entertainment, but this year there was also room for romance with trainee solicitor Luke Moghaddas-Davies choosing the annual event for his well-planned marriage proposal.
Luke, a trainee at international firm Baker & McKenzie, proposed to his long-term girlfriend after crossing the finishing line on Sunday in his first ever marathon.
Luke, who ran the 26.2 mile marathon with the engagement ring in his pocket, said: “It was an amazing atmosphere and proposing was the perfect way to top off a truly fantastic day.” His girlfriend, Yvette Page, was speechless during the proposal but eventually said: “Yes, of course I will!”
Luke also managed to raise £1,000 for Breast Cancer Care.
