Do you think there is a ratio between looks and intelligence?

Do you become more ugly as you get smarter?

i.e Stephen Fry or Gordon Brown…

Obama is pretty smart pretty good looking. Rubbish theory.

Einstein wasn’t really ugly, not good looking either but pretty smart no?

I dont think there is one between looks and intelligence, but I definatly think there is a general ratio between looks and personality.

I think that many people tend to dismiss stunners as a bit thick, but I don’t think the reverse happens.

Sapphire-Rose I’d have to agree that the reversal doesn’t usually happen as a general trend but Ive heard people make sweeping judgments on it before!

Ah, interesting.  Thinking about it now, people do tend to assume spectacle wearers are intelligent.  Mind you, that’s whether they are good looking or not.  I suppose that actually many assumptions are made on appearance.

No matter how much we try not to prejudge we always will, my reasoning for this is sight is one of our senses and thus would it be wrong to not use the sense?

Although obviously it becomes different when prejudice comes in on a harsher discriminatory basis.

<I think that many people tend to dismiss stunners as a bit thick>

Oh how true, Saffie (do you mind if I call you Saffie?)
Anyhoo, yes - I’m a right little stunna meself and I’m always making an ass of myself according to all my boyfriends. And I’m not even blonde! Well, not a natural one anyway ...

My bezzie friend Kylie, on the other hand, she’s a proper trained nail technician and everything and she does homers dead cheap and everything so she does, and sometimes I go with her to hold them down. But she’s not as gorgeous as I am. And anyway, her tattoo’s aren’t even real either. All mine are. smile

Yes, very well put.  Makes one wonder sometimes though, what others are thinking of us based on how we look.  Actually, let’s not even go down that path smile

Miss Law - your tattoos sound delightful, as does your friend.  Any chance of Kylie joining us?  :0

I would hate to think what others would think, but could be as i can be quite self conscious at times!

@ Power User.

I am indeed scatty. I went out shopping once ... hmmm, no - twice, in my underwear. But I was wearing a lovely top.
